The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Honda Amaze will feature significant upgrades, including new designs, advanced technology, and improved engines, catering to the evolving preferences of Indian consumers
Sedans offer distinct advantages, particularly their superior ride quality and driving dynamics. As the landscape shifts, two notable contenders are set to make their debut – the new-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Honda Amaze. Both models will receive significant upgrades, promising enhanced features and performance that cater to the evolving needs of Indian consumers. Ahead of the launch, here we have mentioned what we can expect from these upcoming sedans.
1. All-new Maruti Suzuki Dzire
Previously, the Dzire was seen as just a larger version of the Swift. However, this time, Maruti Suzuki has worked hard to set the sedan apart with a distinct exterior design. Recent spy images show that the Dzire features a new grille design, replacing the Swift’s with several thick horizontal slats. The upcoming Dzire gets a premium look, with muscular lines that give it a strong presence. The side profile features prominent lines along the shoulder and new dual-tone alloy wheels. At the back, the design is completed with LED tail lamps and a sleek metallic strip positioned above the tail lamps.

Spy images reveal that the new Dzire will come equipped with a segment-first single-panel sunroof. It’s also expected to get a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system, a wireless phone charger, automatic climate control, an analogue instrument cluster and a 360-degree camera. On the safety front, the Dzire will include six airbags, hill-hold assist, ESP, a reverse parking camera, ABS, and EBD. The new Dzire will feature the 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated Z-series petrol engine from the Swift, producing 80 bhp of peak power and 111.7 Nm of max torque.
2. New-gen Honda Amaze
Honda Cars India is all set to introduce the new-gen Amaze in the coming months. The test mules of the compact sedan have been spotted many times and images suggest it will get a few major upgrades rather than a complete redesign, similar to the Honda City.
Furthermore, images reveal the fresh taillight design, while still retaining a recognizable style. More significant updates are anticipated within the cabin, where Honda is expected to enhance features, such as a twin digital screen setup, a 360-degree camera, a sunroof, ventilated front seats and a powered driver’s seat.

Speaking about the engine, the new-gen Honda Amaze will be equipped with Honda’s 1.2-litre engine, generating 89 bhp of max power and 110 Nm of peak torque. Buyers will have the choice between a five-speed manual transmission or a CVT. When launched, the new-gen Amaze will lock horns with the upcoming Dzire and Aura.
