AAP’s flagship programme Mohalla Clinics to be renamed as aayushman Arogya Mandir: Health Minister

Aam Aadmi Party’s flagship programme Mohalla Clinics will be renamed as aayushman Arogya Mandir, Union health minister JP Nadda said on Thursday.

He said that the scheme will be upgraded and will be probed following allegations of corruption.

He said that government’s ambitious Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) -the largest insurance scheme-will be introduced for the people of Delhi.

“We will bring the PM-JAY scheme to Delhi,” he said.

The scheme provides Rs 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation.

The government has now expanded the scope of PMJAY scheme by including senior citizens aged 70 years and above.

Nadda said the new Chief Minister of Delhi will be announced once the Prime Minister is back.
