Hyundai Creta EV Teased Revealing Many Interesting Details

GaadiWaadi –

Hyundai Creta EV is expected to offer a claimed range of more than 450 km on a single charge; India launch at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has commenced the teaser campaign for its midsize electric SUV based on the best-selling Creta. The five-seater will go on sale at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 this month and we will get to drive it before that in less than a couple of weeks. For the first time, Hyundai has shown glimpses of the Creta EV on its social media channels.

The recent teaser videos give away the presence of a new exterior body colour in a shade of blue, emphasising its electric nature. The pillars and the roof appear to be finished in black enabling a two-tone finish. The front fascia of the Hyundai Creta EV will be thoroughly redesigned compared to its ICE sibling to make way for a central charging port and a shut-off grille section.

Elsewhere, you could also find redesigned front and rear bumpers but the lighting elements reminisce that of the Creta ICE. The new ‘electric’ badge is mounted on the tailgate but the LED tail lamp signatures look all the more familiar and the top-down shot further confirms a dual-pane sunroof. The SUV will ride on newly designed 18-inch aero-styled wheels as well.

However, the side character lines, bonnet and wheel arch claddings are identical to the regular Creta. The Hyundai Creta EV will feature a tech-loaded cabin highlighted by a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen paired with a matching digital instrument cluster. Distinctive to the EV, however, is a revamped steering wheel alongside a column-mounted drive mode selector.

It will come equipped with a host of premium equipment including six airbags, Level 2 ADAS, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control and wireless smartphone charger. Additional highlights are a 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, a multi-speaker audio system, and a layered dashboard design.

Pricing is expected to begin at approximately Rs. 18-20 lakh with top-end variants potentially reaching up to Rs. 28 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with the upcoming Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser EV, Citroen Basalt EV and Tata Harrier EV along with Mahindra XUV 400, Mahindra BE 6 and others.
