The new generation Mini Cooper S and Countryman Electric will help consolidate the brand’s portfolio in India further

BMW is set to officially announce the prices of the all-new BMW 5 Series LWB today. In addition, the high-end CE 04 electric scooter will also be launched. The German brand has more in store, as the new Mini Cooper S and Countryman EV are also scheduled to be introduced today as it braces to strengthen its portfolio across different disciplines.

The fifth generation Mini Cooper, which debuted globally in late 2023, is now coming to India in the Cooper S variant, featuring a 2.0L four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that generates 201 bhp. As a three-door model in its fifth generation, the new Mini Cooper highlights the brand’s heritage with its signature design and is said to embody the essence of ‘urban driving fun’.

It will be available in India as a fully imported model for the first time. Bookings for both models are already open at authorized dealerships and through online platforms. The Countryman EV shares several features with the BMW iX1 and is available internationally in two variants: E and SE ALL4.

According to the WLTP cycle, the E variant offers a claimed driving range of 461 km, whereas the SE ALL4 variant provides a range of 433 km on a single charge. The 5 Series LWB will become BMW’s second long-wheelbase model in India, following the 3 Series Grand Limousine and it will also be the largest in its segment to rival the Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB.
