The iconic Renault Duster is all set to return to the Indian market in the near future, reinvented for the modern era in a new-generation avatar. It was unveiled globally a little while back as the Dacia Duster, and it looks quite impressive. The new-gen Duster promises a bolder design, cutting-edge features, and fuel-efficient hybrid powertrains, making it the ideal companion for conquering any terrain.

Rugged Exterior
The new Duster dons a sculpted muscular exterior, following the brand’s latest design language. It’s based on the Bigster concept, wrapped in generous Starkle cladding (20% recycled polypropylene) for a sustainable edge. Pronounced fenders, boxy wheel arches, and pronounced skid plates scream toughness, while sleek Y-shaped LED headlights and taillights add a touch of sophistication. With a ground clearance of 217mm and impressive approach, departure, and ramp breakover angles, the Duster will be ready for any off-road adventure.
Tech-Savvy Interior
Step inside and be greeted by a completely revamped cabin. The floating 10.1-inch touchscreen takes centre stage, while Y-shaped AC vents add a unique design element. A fully digital 7-inch instrument cluster sits behind a redesigned three-spoke steering wheel, keeping you informed in style, while a new gear selector lever adds a touch of modernity.
Features Galore
The Duster comes loaded with features to enhance your adventures. Comfort takes centre stage with ventilated front seats, wireless smartphone charging, and automatic climate control. An electronic parking brake provides convenience, while six airbags, ESC, hill start assist, and TPMS. You also get connected tech, with Renault’s EASY LINK infotainment system, and let the tunes flow through the Arkamys 3D Sound System.
Powertrain Options
The new Duster introduces hybrid powertrains. The Hybrid 140 combines a 94hp, 1.6-litre petrol engine with a 49hp electric motor and a 1.2kWh battery pack. For those who prefer a traditional approach, there are two more options – a 1.2L turbo-petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system or a 1.0L bi-fuel engine (LPG or gasoline) are also available. All engines can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, while some variants boast the option of all-wheel drive with terrain modes for tackling any adventure.
Indian Launch
