Being a cat grandparent isn’t a bad gig. Toys and treats are usually cheaper, and you can fit all the holiday extras into a small bag. While these fluffy grandkids can’t say “thank you” out loud, they show their appreciation in their own special ways.
Cashie and Almond are two lucky tabby cats with loving owners and doting grandparents. Almond is a 12-year-old female who started to feel a bit lonely. To keep her company, her parents brought home Cashew, fondly called Cashie. It took a little while for these two to warm up to each other, but now they’re the best of friends and like true siblings.
Since Cashie joined the family at the end of July, this is the first holiday both cats will spend with their grandparents. Let the spoiling begin! Grandma and Grandpa arrived, carrying bags filled with treats, costumes, and toys. Well, maybe that’s a slight exaggeration—each cat got a small bag of goodies. Grandma snuggled with Almond to share the gifts, while Grandpa tried to win over Cashie.

As Grandma showed Almond all her new treasures, the curious cat eagerly explored everything. She sniffed the bucket with interest as Grandma pulled out a bumblebee costume. Cashie wasn’t as thrilled with Grandpa presenting all the new items. But to be fair, this is Cashie’s first Halloween, so he doesn’t know what to expect.
When it was time to try on the costumes, Almond handled it like a pro. Cashie, on the other hand, looked like he’d experienced the ultimate feline betrayal.
